Brijwasi Sweets, Mainpuri: Soan Papdi Recognition at UPITS

Mainpuri and its love for Soan Papdi
In Mainpuri, a box of Soan Papdi is part of festivals, family visits and celebrations. Its flaky texture takes patience and skill — sugar syrup, gram flour and ghee are worked together until they form fine, airy strands.
Serving Mainpuri since 1978
Brijwasi Sweets & Restaurant has served Mainpuri since 1978 from Main Bazaar near Tehsil Chauraha. Over the years, Soan Papdi has remained one of the sweets our customers ask for most.
Our UPITS experience
The Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (4th edition) took place from 25 to 29 September 2026 at India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida. Brijwasi brought its Soan Papdi to the show and met visitors keen to taste regional sweets. On 29 September, at the valedictory ceremony, the brand received a memento on stage in recognition of its participation.
Why regional sweets deserve recognition
Traditional sweets carry the skill of generations of halwais. Platforms like UPITS help small-town makers share these traditions with a wider audience and keep them alive.
Keeping the tradition going
We will keep making Soan Papdi the way Mainpuri knows it. Order online in 250g, 500g or 1 kg packs, or visit our shop in Mainpuri 205001.
