Griha Pravesh & Puja Prasad Sweets in Mainpuri — What to Order

Puja orders have their own rules in Mainpuri — pure veg, no egg, made in desi ghee, and delivered on time for the muhurat. Here is how families plan them.
The prasad shortlist
- Motichoor ladoo — the default prasad across most pujas
- Besan ladoo — for havan and satyanarayan katha
- Peda — small, easy to distribute, keeps well through a long ceremony
- Panjiri or dry fruit ladoo — for winter and Janmashtami
How much to order
A safe rule for griha pravesh: 100 g of mithai per guest for distribution, plus 1 kg reserved for the puja thali. For 100 guests that is roughly 11 kg.
Timing the delivery
Order at least 24 hours ahead and ask for delivery 90 minutes before the muhurat. Ladoos hold beautifully for a day; chhena sweets should be same-day only.
Packing for distribution
Small 2-piece and 4-piece boxes make handing prasad to departing guests far easier than open trays. We pack these to count for Mainpuri-area orders.
