Mainpuri Street Food & Chaat — The Local Order List

Mainpuri's street food is unfussy and consistent. These are the plates that define the city's afternoons and evenings.
Aloo tikki
Shallow-fried potato patties, crushed on the tawa, topped with curd, tamarind chutney and a pinch of roasted jeera. The test of a good tikki is the crust — it should crack, not bend.
Golgappa
Mainpuri prefers a sharper pudina paani than the sweeter Delhi style, with a boiled aloo-chana filling. Six pieces is one standard plate.
Chole bhature
Slow-cooked chana with a puffed, freshly fried bhatura. Best eaten in the first two minutes, before the bhatura loses its air.
Samosa and kachori
The samosa is the district's most reliable snack — thick potato filling, hard crust, hot aloo curry on the side. Khasta kachori is its morning cousin.
The hygienic version
If you want the same flavours in a pure-veg, sit-down setting, our Mainpuri restaurant serves chaat and chole bhature made in a controlled kitchen — same taste, no compromise on cleanliness.
