The Mainpuri Wedding Mithai Checklist: Rituals, Boxes and Quantities

A Mainpuri wedding has at least five separate mithai moments. Plan them together and you avoid the classic last-week panic order.
1. Roka and tilak
Bhaji boxes travel with the family — mithai, namkeen, dry fruit and paan in one tray. Count one box per household, not per guest.
2. Haldi and sangeet
Light, servable sweets: motichoor ladoo, gulab jamun, and a chilled rasmalai counter for evening functions.
3. The wedding day counter
Plan 100–150g of mithai per guest across four to six varieties. Mix one flaky (Soan Papdi), one dry (Kaju Katli), one milk (Milk Cake) and one syrup sweet.
4. Vidaai and return boxes
- 250g box for extended guests
- 500g box for standard family guests
- 1kg premium box for close relatives and the bride's or groom's side
5. Post-wedding thank-you gifting
Boxes couriered to guests who could not attend. Choose long-keeping sweets only — Soan Papdi and Dry Fruit Barfi are the safest travellers, and we ship them pan-India from Mainpuri 205001.
